Act 4 Scene 1

  • Titania and her train enter with Bottom, as Oberon looks on unseen. The fairies attend to Bottom’s every need. He falls asleep in Titania’s arms and she declares how much she loves him.
  • Oberon pities Titania.  So he uses the love juice on her so she falls back in love with him. Puck removes Bottom’s ass’ head.
  • Thesues, Hippolyta and Egues stumbles upon the four sleeping lovers.  The lovers wake, and think they dreamed everything, though Demetrius now loves Helena. Theseus decrees that they can all marry at his wedding.
  • Bottom wakes up and thinks that he dreamed everything.

Act 4 Scene 2

  • At their final rehearsal, the labourers despair because Bottom, their Pyramus, is missing. Just then, Bottom returns.
